Unity, respect, ethics and diversity. These values form the foundation of our interpersonal relationships at CBA. We work to develop an inclusive culture as a way to create a fair, democratic, equal-opportunity and diverse workplace environment. At CBA, everyone is welcome.

Diversity

CBA has a goal to offer a growing number of job posts to minority groups, and we’ve made adjustments to our hiring platform to this end.

For 2020, the goal is to achieve 50% gender diversity in leadership positions within the Company. In 2021 the figure was 17%, compared to 14% in 2020. Our workforce is 14.3% women, an improvement of 3% from 2020.

Diversity and Inclusion

Significant increase in women’s participation in the workforce:

Diversity at CBA:

  • Diversity committee
  • Diversity and inclusion guide and policy
  • Created affinity groups—including Gender Equity, Racial Equity, LGBTQIA+ and People with Disabilities—who meet on a monthly basis to discuss how to achieve progress on these issues.
  • Trained women as metallurgical process operators, in partnership with the National Industrial Training Service (SENAI), with 253 participants graduating in 2021

Health and safety

Employee health and safety are non-negotiable for CBA.

CBA has an integrated management system policy that addresses health and safety matters affecting CBA employees and contractors, based on applicable safety regulations, ISO 45001 and OHSAS 18001. CBA takes safety beyond minimum legal requirements to achieve industry best practices.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we spared no effort in prevention to protect our employees.

98.6%
of employees were fully
vaccinated as of

CBA’s injury frequency rates in recent years illustrate our efforts and investments to improve safety. In 2021 alone, our injury frequency rate decreased by 32% compared to 2020. Our strong performance has not made us complacent, and CBA’s efforts to eliminate injuries and improve workplace safety are ongoing.
